The new, leather steering wheel, SRT-exclusive steering wheel is unique with a flat bottom surface which has the SRT logo. The front seats are unique with both heating and ventilation, and include perforated suede fabric inserts with SRT logo embroidered on the seatbacks. Also the rear seats are heated for rear passenger comfort.
Safety is standard with an adaptive cruise control with collision warning, a blind spot detection system, front head restraints reactive row, standard, full-length side curtain airbags, a knee-bag for the driver's side, and the standard front seat-mounted thorax side airbags offering added protection for occupants in a collision.
This new Dodge Charger SRT8 for 2012 also has a great info-tainment system with a 900-watt, 19-speaker premium SRT performance audio surround-sound system from Harmon Kardon. The user interface is controlled with the vehicle's large touchscreen display (8.4-inch), the system also features Uconnect. The stereo has outstanding acoustics, and increased amplifier efficiency making it a pleasure to listen to for any audiophile.
"The car has the ability to change personality on the fly," Dodge CEO and Chrysler design boss Ralph Gilles told AutoWeek.
The Charger SRT8 joins the Challenger SRT8 in the Dodge's hot-rod stable. Both cars have the same Hemi, which measures 392 cubic inches.
Gilles called his latest Dodge demon a car he could drive across the country in.
